Tumblers Gymnastics Assessments Scheme Information
At Tumblers Gymnastics we have developed our own gymnastics assessment scheme, which has been tailor made to inspire and provide achievable goals for all our gymnasts, This scheme also recognises their progress.

Why have we created the Assessments Scheme?
We wanted to create a bespoke testing system that reflected the skills we teach and the apparatus we use for all gymnasts. Our new scheme comprises of levels, across all four pieces of core apparatus; floor, vault, beam and bars. All skills are progressive throughout the assessment scheme, assessing gymnasts on skills they are currently working on within their gymnastics classes and skills that are more specific. All gymnasts will be assessed and given progress reports every three months.

How often will assessments take place?
We will assess the gymnasts four times a year; once every term. These assessment periods will run for three weeks with gymnasts being assessed during their class time, on their apparatus rotations. At the end of the term the gymnasts will be presented the assessment sheet. All assessment dates will be sent out to all parents via email.

Watching Week
We know how important it is to see how your child is getting along in their gymnastics classes with us. Not only will it allow you an insight into what they get up to in class but you will able to see the enjoyment that they get out of classes.
Watching Week Rules

1 No photography or video to be taken
We kindly ask that no photos or videos (even of your own child) are taken during your child’s sessions. We have a number of vulnerable and protected children who partake in our classes and it is our responsibility to offer them a safe environment to enjoy their classes. We also have children who do not have photo consent and so have to respect the wishes of their parents and guardians.

2 No food or drink
We kindly ask that no food or drink is consumed during the watching weeks.
3 No younger siblings running around
We kindly ask to keep your toddlers and babies from running around as it will disrupt the class.
